Master of Pharmacy (M. Pharm)

1. Short Title and Commencement

These regulations shall be called the Revised Regulations for the Master of Pharmacy (M. Pharm.) Degree Programme as prescribed by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi. The programme shall be governed by the latest norms, guidelines and amendments issued by PCI and the affiliating University from time to time.

2. Eligibility
First Year M. Pharm:

Candidates seeking admission to the M. Pharm programme must possess a Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm.) degree from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and recognized by the respective University. The candidate must have obtained the minimum qualifying marks as prescribed by PCI, AICTE, the affiliating University or the State Government from time to time.

3. Scholarship / Financial Assistance

Eligible students may avail scholarships and financial assistance as per the norms of the Central Government, State Government and other applicable scholarship schemes. Financial support is also available under various educational loan schemes subject to eligibility.

4. Course Structure

The M. Pharm programme consists of four semesters spread over two academic years. The curriculum includes advanced theoretical subjects, laboratory work, seminars, journal club, research methodology, dissertation work and project evaluation as prescribed by the Pharmacy Council of India.

5. Medium of Instruction and Examination

The medium of instruction and examination shall be English.

6. Working Days

Each semester shall have the minimum number of working days as prescribed by the Pharmacy Council of India and the affiliating University.

7. Attendance and Academic Progress

Students are required to maintain a minimum of 80% attendance separately in theory, practical, seminar and dissertation work as per PCI regulations. Satisfactory academic progress is mandatory for promotion to the next semester.
